A grieving woman commissions a painter to do a portrait of her 22 year-old daughter and her 19 year-old son, who recently died in a tragic accident. As the painter struggles to perfect his portrait, the stormy interaction between the artist and the girl brings forth the intense psychological state of a complex family. A powerful story in which the tragic loss of a loved one becomes the catalyst for each family member to rediscover themselves and redefine their relationships. Directed by Oscar winner Caroline Link (Nowhere in Africa), and based on the novel "Aftermath" by MIT author Scott Campbell.
