"Begins as a great science fiction film and continues as an intriguing
study of human nature."       -- Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times. Read this review.
"When '28 Days Later' is not scaring you silly, it invites you to reflect
seriously on the fragility of modern civilization."       -- A.O. Scott, New York Times. Read this review.
Celebrate Halloween in style with this unusual and brilliant horror/sci-fi
gem of a film.
When an experimental virus is set loose by activists who free lab animals from
their cages, most of the world's population is locked into a semi-permanent
state of rage which inevitably ends in death. What remains is an eerie
emptiness perfectly depicted -- familiar remnants of civilization devoid of the
life with which they once teemed. Only a few people remain uninfected, and
they must find each other to survive. Unfortunately, those who claim to be
free of the virus are not all benevolent, and so emerges a new enemy.
Scarier than 'Twelve Monkeys,' smarter than most horror films, and with more
suprises than 'The Sixth Sense,' this is truly a thoughtful thriller that
will deliver far more than you expect.
Update: This version of the film features both the original and alternate endings!
